Hello World!

Three days ago, I finally came to the (belated you might say) realization that no amount of XML template file hacking and meddling with proprietary scripting languages will ever get BlogSpot to work quite the way I wanted it to. Definitely, its design and architect was very clean, elegant and well-designed to say the least (I was using Blogger Beta); an excellent blog for the newbie blogger or non-programmer by the way.
But I wanted polls facilities. I wanted a mini-forum. I wanted to be able to host downloadable files directly. I wanted control, fine-grained, programmatic acrobatics that no CSS can deliver. Anyway, I decided to take the plunge and signed up for a domain with hosting and setup Wordpress. So there we go - one day to finalize the domain name and have it registered. One day setting up Wordpress, configuring it to my requirements AND re-posting all my articles over. And erm, one day struggling with getting images sized the right way in the articles. Long story there, lets not dampen the mood right now shall we.
Anyway, here we are, still no polls, still no mini-forum - BUT they will certainly be up very soon! Honestly, most of the last three weeks since I started with "The Concept of Push Mail" in my Direct Push series was spent struggling with the technicalities of getting my Blog running the way I like it. Now that most of it is in place; I should be able to work on the Direct Push Guide as well as other articles that is on my mind (!) at a much faster pace.
So hope to see you back again soon huh. In the meantime: Hello world!
