You might have noticed that the forums have been taken down a few days ago. Basically, we were taking a long hard long about whether we want to spend the time to properly integrate and maintain a forum at this stage, or to focus and step-up the rate in churning out the write-ups that you so love.
As it was, we decided to put the forums on hold for now and simply focus on what Technology at Play was created for: clear and concise write-ups on technology for the technically-minded. You will never find us parroting directly from marketing-greased press releases. Instead, let us slice right to the bottom line for you and present the real merits or demerits of a given product or technology.
In other news, after having ate, drank and breathed Direct Push for a season now; we shall be moving over to take a look at the BlackBerry architecture next. Just a sampling of some of the topics that we will be examining:
- How exactly does RIM’s push mail differ from Microsoft Direct Push?
- What was the recently settled lawsuit that NTP filed against RIM about?
- Why do proponents say that the BlackBerry architecture is more secure?
- What are the advantages of the NOC architecture?
- The BlackBerry Enterprise Server (BES) - More than just push mail
