About Paul Mah

I come from a technical background, having graduated with a Bachelor in Information Technology a number of years back. Work experiences consist of both dealing with hardware systems as well as software development, with a one year stint in a well-known computer peripherals maker as a product manager. As such, I am familiar with the design and manufacturing processes pertaining to IT products.
When cornered, I will also code software to solve problems. Fortunately, complex scripts to play text-based MUD (Multi-User Dungeon) games so that I can attend to more mundane matters like going to school are a thing of the past. I still use KeyControl though, the hotkey plug-in for the Winamp media player written years ago for switching songs in between changing weapons in Counter-Strike.
My passion for technology drives me to read about and tinker with anything that is tech-related. Having said that, mobile gadgets and enterprise hardware seems to hold a special appeal.
At the moment, I work as a freelance technology writer and contribute regularly to a number of IT-related publications both on-line and off-line. Publicists are welcomed to contact me, or read more about sending me review units or press releases. In addition, I also facilitate part-time at a local polytechnic where a campus-wide PBL approach is practiced.
I live in Singapore and am married to my lovely wife, Lydia.
